Why is faith needed?

 

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6 

 

Faith is needed because without faith you can’t trust God. Your hope in God is a spiritual substance of which is faith. Faith has no physical backing or guarantee but it is, however, a guarantee itself. Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

To wait on God requires strong faith in Him. A faithless man or woman will consider waiting on God that He or she doesn’t know as foolishness. You should not follow the blueprint of an atheist or an unbeliever. Your spiritual trust in God is built by the faith you have in Him. Your consciousness that God exists and He listens to you when you pray is “faith”. Your faith is stronger when you believe that He won’t let you down after your several requests or prayers. God will only reward those that have an enduring faith in Him and not those that initially had faith and later compromised. Abraham had an enduring faith in God and was rewarded.

Faith is needed to trust God and to patiently wait for Him until He rewards you.
