Guard your thought always

 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:James 1:13

God does not tempt and He is not a tempter but the Devil had been known as the tempter and one who deceives right since the creation of man. One secret of the Devil is this; He often tempt those that are lustfully driven for what they want. When your heart is lusting after a particular thing most time with desperation,  the Devil uses this as an opportunity to tempt you to getting these things wrongfully and thereby you are trapped. All glory to God our father who made Jesus to overcome the tempter when He was tempted to turn stones to bread, because He knew Christ was hungry. Matthew 4:2-3 ‘And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.’ He overcame the tempter by the word because his thought was guarded by the word of God. You can learn from here that Christ was not driven or controlled by hunger tho He was hungry.

Our mind should always be guarded by the word of God and not to be a room for temptations where the tempter (Devil) can take advantages of our thought.

Dear reader i hope you are blessed by the message, take charge of your thought today by the word of God and the Holy-Spirit, give no room for the tempter.

conclusion:

Your thought is one of your powerful  weapon that controls you,  guard your thought with the word of God and then abstain from ungodly desperations that will lure you to sin. 

Chosen people 

 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:1 Peter 2:9

Christ had referred to us Christians as an Holy nation, special people and a royal priest hood. He had made it known that even if the world are blind to see something unique in us, He still values us as a chosen people called out from darkness into his eternal glory.  1 Peter 2:4 ‘To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,’ So then, we are not more in darkness but now dwelling in light.’

So then it is our role to always give him all the praises that we are chosen out from many as unique people.

Dear reader, salvation is the greatest gift that our God can give to anyone  that surrenders all to His son Jesus Christ , give Christ a chance so that you will be one of God’s Peculiar people.

Conclusion:

As  Christians we should know we are chosen by God as a unique nation called out of darkness to become children of light. It is our role to praise him always for the grace of salvation He had given freely to us.

Do His will

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever: 1 John 2:17 

The scripture had warned us several times of lusting after the things of the world or to make these things as our first priority. Since the world itself is not everlasting; everything that is attached to the world will fade away but the word of life that had been before the beginning of the world is eternal. Therefore whosoever  follows the word is grounded on a strong foundation. And anyone that follows the word is doing the will of the God and thereby such a one lives forever that is; he shall never die . John 8:51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.

Dear reader I am assured that you are blessed this morning and the lord has revealed something new to you. If you hadn’t been following the will of God,  start today and eternity of Devine life is guaranteed for you. 

Conclusion:

The world will fade away but those that fulfill the will of God will reign with Him forever. 

Contend for the faith given to you.

Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints: Jude 1:3

The Scripture warns us to earnestly contend for faith which was given to us. ‘to contend’ connotes a fight  to keep the grace of Christ given to us without compromising or taking advantage of this grace as an hope to sinning. Paul had testified of this that He had fought the good fight of faith. 2 Timothy 4:7 ‘I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:’ The Bible made us to understand that so many had misunderstood the purpose of this grace and also they had failed to be consistent to fighting  a good fight of faith. Jude 1:4 ‘For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.’ The Bible gave examples of those who misused this grace; the Israelites who doubted the promises of God and the fallen angels who left their own dwelling place following their own will. Jude 1:5-6.

It is not the joy of Our Heavenly Father to see those who had tasted the grace of God to fall away from this grace. We have to fight to keep this grace till the end and I pray that we wont be weary but we would have a testimony that we fought the good fight of faith.

Dear reader, i am sure you are blessed this morning,  have you been weary in faith,  keep contending for the faith given to you. there’s a reward prepared for you if you end it well. 

Conclusion:

You have to keep fighting for the faith that had been delivered to you when you had surrendered  all to Christ. This is the only way to keep the grace of God steady in your life. 

Seek first the kingdom of God 

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you: Matthew 6:33

We all have needs and there are so many things we desire to achieve as it is our natural nature as humans with needs and ambitions . However, sometimes we put these materials things ahead the things pertaining to God and sometimes we are worried how we can achieve them. In Matthew 6:25 Jesus warned us of worrying how we can achieve or meet up with our needs. Matthew 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

The good news is that there’s a guarantee that all that we have ever needed or eager to achieve will be ours if we can seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Dear reader I hope you are blessed today, seek first the kingdom of God and all you have ever needed or dream to achieve will be yours.

Conclusion:

Our Heavenly Father’s will should be our first priority and all that we need or ask of Him will be done.

The Devine Instruction

  And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes: John 21:6

We need the Devine instruction and direction to whatsoever we engage in. So many times endurance and patience is not the key but Devine  instruction to any problem we want to solve. A perfect case study here is Peter who went fishing,  He had been struggling looking for fish all day,  because He had been fishing in the wrong direction without having a Devine instruction. Until Christ gave him a Devine instruction,  He was able to trap so many fish to the extent that His net was so heavy to carry. John 21:11 Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken. 

Often times it is not endurance or patience that is the key to solving problems,  but it is having a Devine direction from God and this is where the direction of the Holy Spirit play a most important role in our decisions in life.

Dear reader i know you are bleesed by this,  are you still struggling with some situations in your life, pray and ask God for devine instruction.

conclusion:

The Devine instruction of the Holy Spirit is indispensable in your life to every problems or decision you are about to engage in.

     

Do you believe in the supernatural?

 And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest. Ezekiel 37:3

The supernatural is beyond what we  see as physical and it subjects all laws governing the natural law to a higher authority. Our God is a supernatural being that works in the realm of the supernatural. In a revelation,  God asked prophet Ezekiel  if the dry bones could come back to life. He was not sure of the right answer but He knew God had the right answer because He works in the supernatural. when Ezekiel spoke to the dry bones as He was instructed,  the bones became living souls. Ezekiel 37:10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.
Until believers believe in the realm of the supernatural they would not operate by the power of God. In Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. This verse clearly explain how we can work in the supernatural powers in us if we can believe.

conclusion:
Our heavenly father is a supernatural being, if you want to work in the supernatural you must believe in the supernatural powers that work in Him.

 IF THE FOUNDATION IS DESTROYED

If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? Psalms 11:3

The righteous will pray unto God for mercy. So many Christians have been on a destroyed foundation before they met Jesus. knowing Jesus and accepting Him gives you salvation , but you have a role to play for God to bring you out from your faulty foundation to the strong foundation which is Jesus Christ and this comes by stong prayer and fasting.

The Bible made us to understand that Jabez was on a bad foundation because his mother caused him on the day he was born and naming him sorrow , tho he knew God later but that curse was still in his life until He cried for mercy. 1 Chronicles 4:10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

So many Christians are having the mindset that if their foundation is damaged, then there is no hope. that is a lie because the Scripture never support that. 

The only solution to be free from a damage foundation is to  pray unto God for mercy and he will bring you out from that foundation to the foundation of Christ.

conclusion:

If your foundation is destroyed there is an hope for you in Christ. pray unto God for mercy and he will change your foundation.

Nothing is impossible for God

For with God nothing shall be impossible: Luke 1:37

Our God had always being making things that had been impossible for man to  come into reality. Who would have thought that Sarah, wife of Abraham would ever give birth to a child at Her age. In Jeremiah 32:27 God asked a question which says "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? Nothing had ever been difficult for our Lord." This question asked in Jeremiah 32:27 was answered by arch-angel Gabriel  in Luke 1:37 which says 'For with God nothing shall be impossible'
You should know that there’s nothing that seem impossible for our God to solve no matter the situation you’re passing through. As Christians our faith should be grounded in Him without doubting and His will will be fulfilled in our lives.

Conclusion:
Nothing had  ever been impossible for God since time past and till now , He is still working signs and wonders in the lives many. put your trust in him and never believe anything is impossible for Him.

Hope of life and restoration  

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly: John 10:10

The Devil had always being hijacking the blessings and divine relationship between God and Man. Since the beginning of the era of man,  the Bible accounted the evil works of men, and this evil works was the purpose of the Devil to erase the relationship of man with God completely.

The Bible says in John 10:10 that “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” Jesus said He came to give us life so that we might have it abundantly to;

• redeeming us from death John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

• purchase our possession stolen by the Devil in time past since the time of Adam through the power of the Holy Spirit . Ephesians 1:14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Dear reader, you should know there’s hope for you in Christ Jesus and this hope is Life in an abundant and to restore all that the thief (Devil) had stolen . 

Conclusion:

The purpose of Christ coming to earth is to bring hope to man by restoring all what man has lost and to give man eternal life. 

we are more than conquerors

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us: Romans 8:37

we are victorious and far more than conquerors, there’s an assurance of total safety and protection in the love of God through his begotten son Jesus Christ. The  Bible tells us that nothing can condemn us in christ and  that in him we have no condemnation Romans 8:1.  paul addressing the church in a letter said that nothing can seperate us from the love of God be it; death, life, angels or demons can not take us away from the love of God.  Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Dear reader i know you are blessed by the message,  just know that in christ you are more than conquerors and nothing can take you away from the love of God. Give him a chance today by surrendering all to Him.

conclusion:

In Jesus alone we are victorious and more than conquerors, through Him our victory over the devil and the kingdom of darkness is guaranteed.

 The word of the lord is eternal 

But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you: 

1 Peter 1:25

The word of the Lord has been from the beginning before the existence of Heaven and the earth. Everything was created by the word of the Lord.  The word which was in the beginning is still very powerful at our present time and will continue to be in existence forever and ever.

The Bible tells us that even if the grasses on earth and the glory of men fades , the word of God will continue to endure forever (1 Peter 1:24-25) For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

Since the word of our Lord is everlasting so therefore our faith is guaranteed in Him, our hopes can not be compromised by anything in this world be it at present or by things to come.

Dear reader I know you’re blessed today put your hopes in the word of the Lord and everything will be guaranteed for you 

Conclusion:

The word of our lord has been before the beginning and still in existence and is eternal. Put your hope in the word of God today and all you have hoped for will be guaranteed.

Faith, doubt and fear

 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me: Matthew 14:30

The Bible described faith as a substance of things hope for and a proof of things not seen. Hebrew 11:1. Just as faith is a powerful tool in the hand of God same as fear is a  tool in the hand of the Devil. The Devil uses fear as a negative faith, which comes by hoping for evil occurrence which may be an evidence of evil things coming into fulfillment. When you are afraid of something evil happening to you, you are in directly wishing that evil  occurrences of coming into fulfillment. Job had one time said that the things he feared most came into fulfillment in his life. (Job 3:25)

For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.

• how does fear arise in the mind ?

If you went through the scripture thoroughly from Matthew 14:28-30 you would have noticed Peter  doubted Christ to be the one walking on water. (Matthew 14:28) And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. It is evident from here that doubt is a seed of fear, constant doubting births fear and doubt is also one of the Devil greatest tool in attacking Christians. Although peter had a little faith but his doubt of Christ walking on water at first weakened His faith in the Lord. 

• faith overcomes fear and doubt

Faith is the greatest tool a child of God can use to walk with God effectively, and through faith God’s  good promises for ones life comes to remembrance even during adversity and trials. When you have faith in God that nothing would take God’s good plan from you, no fear or doubt can make you compromise your faith.

Dear reader I know this must have been a great message for you this morning , covet the gift of faith from the lord today so that you will overcome doubts and fear in your life.

Conclusion:

Faith is a proof of God’s will whereas fear if permitted is a proof of evil occurrences coming to fulfillment which arise by doubt in God’s word. Give no room for doubt and fear by building your faith stronger in the Lord today.

 ARISE AND SHINE 

 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee: Isaiah 60:1

To arise means a new beginning and most time it signifies a new dawn. Just as the morning dawn illuminate darkness same as the glory of God which shines in a believer’s life.

Every  child of God need a new dawn at every point of their  life. When a child of God illuminate the glory of God to the world , men will be attracted to the glory of God in His/Her life. As ambassador of Christ we are meant to shine his light so that men will be partakers of this light. Christ has often called us light and salt of the earth so then we need to shine as light.

Dear reader I know you are blessed by the message, are you yet to experience a new dawn in your life, give Christ a chance today.

Conclusion:

Everyone on earth need to shine at one point in their life and this glory comes by the glory of our Lord Jesus.

Christ knows all things about Everything.

 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty: Revelation 1:8

Man can know a lot about something but Christ knows all things about everything. That is the reason why He is the ancient of days. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  From this verse John explained it clearly that Christ has been with God from the beginning as the word of God and that through Him was all things created be it in heaven and the Earth; man, animals, angels and the universe. And Christ himself is God almighty who came to earth in form of man to be sacrificed for the remission of our sins. 

In our present generation where some Christians engage in some activities; field of study, business, research, and so on. Many take steps in these activities without consulting Christ first thinking it is not related to Him. Little did they know that Christ knows everything about what they are about to engage in and through Him is greatness in any field of Life.

Dear reader I know you are blessed this morning, have you engaged in any field or you are about doing so, engage Christ today so that you will experience all round greatness.

Conclusion:

Christ knows all things about everything. Make Him your first priority for any consultation in any field you want to engage in.

For Christ to be glorified 

When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby: John 11:4

When Christ and His disciples were passing by seeing a man born blind, they ask Him if the man had sinned or His parent, but the Lord made them to understand that none of their sins had been the reason of the man blindness but for the son of God to be glorified and praised.John 9:3.

There are times we are in some trials or some though challenges that some unbelievers will say we are serving a God that does not exist, but most times these challenges come so that we might overcome and testify and the world will glorify the son of God, Jesus in our lives. A perfect example in this message was Lazarus, the Bible made us to understand that He was dead for 4-days before Christ resurrected Him back to life. Many said since He was powerful He should have prevented Lazarus death. But do you know Lazarus death was intentional so that the son of God will be Glorified.  John 11:4 When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.

Dear reader, are you amidst a serious trial that you’re thinking how you will come out of it, take your problem to Jesus today and all your struggles will be over.

Conclusion:

Your victory over all your challenges is for the glory of the son of God. Cast all your issues to Him and you will have a great testimony.

Try to forgive 

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you: Ephesians 4:32

An unforgiving character is what we, Believers must give no room to operate in our lives. In a letter Paul sent to the Church at Ephesus, He expounded on this; that we should exhibit a forgiving trait just as God for Christ sake forgave us from our trespasses. Since our Heavenly Father can forgive us from our sins, if we as Christians called sons and daughters of God still exhibiting an unforgivable trait, are we then children of Him or bastards? Christ has warned us of forgiving one another else we might not receive forgiveness from our Heavenly Father Matthew 6:14-15 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Dear reader I know you have been blessed, are you yet to forgive someone you think did so much evil to you, irrespective of His/Her atrocity, try to forgive so that you may receive mercy from God and be forgiven also.

Conclusion:

Try to forgive one another so that your sins will be forgiven, many are ignorant of this, crying for God’s Mercy yet they have unforgiving spirit within them.

In Christ you are reconciled 

And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled: Colossians 1:21

Before we knew the Lord, we were sometimes far and aliens to Him because we don't have a mediator. However, God in His awesome love sent His son through the sacrifice of His son Jesus Christ to reconcile us back to the father. Having being reconciled to our father, the purpose of our lord Jesus is to present us Holy and acceptable to the father Colossians 1:22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight. It is the joy of our lord to see His people unnlameable and pure. Since we are reconciled from darkness to light, it is our major responsibility to walk in light so that our lord Jesus can proudly present us as a church without spot or wrinkles. Ephesians 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Dear reader I know you have been blessed by the word. Are you yet to be reconciled to the father give Jesus a chance today.

Conclusion:

Since you have been reconciled to the father, you must walk in His light so that Christ can proudly present you as one who is pure and upright in His sight.

 CHRIST IS THE TRUTH THAT SETS ONE FREE 

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.John 8:32

The truth is Christ Jesus until you know Him as the truth that is when you are free from all burden. Knowing Him to be the truth is different from just knowing Him without faith, but if you believe in Him as the truth then you are free. This mystery has made the pharisee worried and they tried to know His source of power but to no avail, they were not able to; just because they never believed in Him as the truth and as the Son of God. Christ wants you to know Him as the only truth, way and Life nothing else is attached to Him John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. So then don't compromise by believing another thing to be associated with Him.

Dear reader I know you have been blessed, are you still worried of how to be free from your chains? know Jesus as the only truth and you will be free indeed.

Conclusion:

Christ is the only truth and way to the father any other way that claimed to be a path to the father is a counterfeit. Know Jesus today as your only truth and nothing should be attached to it.

Mortify your members

 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: Colossians 3:5

To mortify means to subdue, in Colossians 3:5 Paul addressed the church of mortifying their human nature which may manifest after they are born again therefore we need to kill this nature of sinfulness in our body. After our salvation the grace to live above the works of the flesh had been released but we have a role to play so that this grace may be made manifested in our lives. 

Our major roles to mortify our members.

• fleeing from any youthful lust and abstaining from all appearance of evil. 2 timothy 2:22, 1 thessalonians 5:22

• be renewed in the mind often through the washing water of the word of God. Ephesians 5:26

• Walking with God through faith. Hebrew 11:6

Dear reader I hope you’re blessed by the message, are you yet to surrender your life to Christ, give him a chance today and all your struggles with sins will be over forever.

Conclusion:

If your members are not mortified you may end up falling out of Grace, mortify your members always so that you will have dominion over sin forever.

Christ our perfect role model

 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; Hebrews 5:8

The Bible made us to understand that Christ, though being the son of God yet He was obedient and humbled till death. 

Our role model should be Christ who was obedient until death. He has assured all who followed His path of being obedient as an author of their eternal salvation. Hebrews 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

So then we all have to be obedient to all the teachings in the Scripture, Because Christ was obedient till the end God exalted him so high that at his name all powers here on Earth or in Heaven bowed for Him.

Dear reader I hope you are blessed by the message, take obedience as your responsibility to be a perfect follower of Christ so that you may enjoy eternal salvation.

Conclusion:

Our perfect role model is Jesus. Let us follow His path of being obedient till the end and eternal salvation is guaranteed for us.

The word is spirit and life

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life: John 6:63 

The words of our lord is life and spirit. Of most of the miracles worked by Him, He sent His words and His words worked wonders, so many partakers of these miracles have been mentioned in the Bible. One thing we should be aware is that  the word of God gives Life even healings Psalms 107:20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

The word of God is spirit and thus quickens us. The word is capable of reviving the spirit of man by giving Him life; that’s the life to be revived. Christ is the word of God and He has revealed Himself to us to be a quickening Spirit 1 Corinthians 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 

Every believers need to be quickened by the Spirit of God often, and this happens by our daily hearing and studying of His word.

Dear reader I hope you have had a new revelation of the word, harness the power in the word of Jesus today so that you will receive life and be revived in your spirit.

Conclusion:

The only quickening spirit is the word of God which is Christ. In Him is life; through His word you can only receive life and be revived in your Spirit.
