Knowing the will of God

 

...and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding  Colossians 1:9b

 

The knowledge of God’s will is very essential to everyone. Knowing God’s will on every decision you need to take is a great gain for you. The knowledge of the Lord’s will is not an instinct a natural man will have. Colossians 1:9 the scripture made it known that the Lord’s will is a spiritual instinct. “...and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding” 

 

How to know the perfect will of God? 

 

• you must present yourself as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. Romans 12:1 

 

• your mind and soul must be focused on the things of God rather than the earthly things. By so doing you will know what the will of God is.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is- His good, pleasing and perfect will.” NIV Romans 12:2.

 

The perfect will of God for your life doesn’t appear to you automatically but it is revealed when you are renewed in your mind and focused on the things pertaining to God. In other words, making God as your first priority.

 

Conclusion:

God has a will for everyone on earth.  Knowing the will of God deals with one presenting oneself to God with a renewed mind.
