Grace to be saved

Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

Ephesians 2:5

S
o many preachers have confused the grace of Christ as the grace of opportunity to be forgiven whenever one commit any sinful act. The Scripture never told us that, rather the grace of Christ was to save us from sin once and for all. I meant to live above sin making it hard to sin; that is God’s grace.

From the scripture we must have known that the purpose of Christ coming to Earth is to destroy the works of the Devil (sin) by the unction of His grace. When we were living in sin we were not able to live above flesh because we have not life in us; the flesh was controlling our weak dead nature of Sin not until we received the grace to live above flesh by the grace of Christ Ephesians 2:5

This grace is made stronger by our daily enthusiasm for the word of God which was referred to as the word of God’s grace in Acts 20:32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.”

Conclusion:

Let us change our mind-set of the Grace of God from the opportunity to be forgiven when we sin to the opportunity to sin no more which is the Grace of being totally saved.

Go into perfection

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Hebrews 6:1

C
hristians are to grow from being  receivers of the word to those that exercise the power of the word of God thereby going into perfection.
From the scripture we have been warned severally to grow in faith and not to be babes needing teachings every time but to also teach the word of God to those that are yet to grow in faith and even those that are yet born again.
Our goal as a Christian is to exercise the gospel and not always be a reader or receiver of the word, that is the only way we can persuade those that are yet to receive Christ. Christ had promised us the gifts of perfection to work signs and wonders the very first time we believed in Him (Mark 16:17)’’And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;,” but many are relax as babes.
The scripture even affirmed that we can raise the dead if we desire to promote our faith in Christ from the doctrine of Christ to the doctrine of baptism, raising of the dead etc. (Hebrews 6:2) ”Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.” I pray that God through the power of the Holy Spirit will promote us into perfection in Jesus Christ Name.

Conclusion:

The mind of God for a believer is to grow into perfection and do greater things Christ did while on earth. It won’t be the joy of the Lord for any believer to remain a babe in faith.

Righteousness through faith

But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;Romans 4:24

Because of their hardened heart and sinful nature Moses received the Law from God to guide the Israelites against their acts. The Law never made them righteous before God. Those who received the Law received it with fear of not breaking it hence might see the Consequence.
The Bible made Abraham as a perfect case study of one who lived by faith and was called righteous because he had faith in God, though the promises yet fulfilled of him to be a father when his wife was stricken in age, the Scripture made us to understand that this faith made God to declare him righteous Romans 4:22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
We can only be righteous if we have faith in God. Just as it is written that without faith it is hard to be holy in the presence of God  Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Let us grow up from the understanding that the Law will make us sinless and  by our faith in God who raised Christ from the dead Romans4:24
Hoping that Christ is coming again to take us and change us, is another way of having faith in Him thereby our thoughts, actions and ways are guided by the promise of His second coming to receive his saints. I pray that the grace to be steadfast in faith, God Almighty will bestow it upon us in Jesus Christ Name.

Conclusion:
God can only declare anyone righteous if He/She received and believed in his son who is Christ Jesus. Our way to righteous is to be steadfast in faith and not by the Law.

Christ the head of all principality and Power.

And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:  Colossians 2:10

The powers and forces we wrestle with are not physical but are beyond  natural. The Bible describes these powers as principalities,  rulers of darkness, demons etc.Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. we should not be frightened by the deception of these powers; because we  have been taken into completeness in Christ to overcome these powers through the powers in Him; just as he has assured us in Colossians 2:10. The Scripture has never called the Devil the head of all principalities which some people think he is but Christ was often called the head of all principality (Ephesians 1:21). the Bible also affirmed that all powers belongs to Him Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. therefore Christians should not be moved by powers of the Devil instead we should exercise our faith in Christ Jesus in him comes all powers, Might and Glory.

Conclusion:
We should rest our faith in Christ whom is above all powers and principality (Ephesians 1:21). Through him we are more than a conqueror.

The Power in the Name of Jesus

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; Philippians 2:10

We know very well that the name of Jesus is above all things here on Earth and in Heaven, but do we believe in his name? When you know something is different from when you believe in it; absolutely not the same. We know that by the name of Jesus Christ the dead will be risen, but do we have faith in the name to raise the dead? This is a very big question to us Christians. The Scripture clarified it that when we believe in his name we have life.   John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. This life in us works miracle. To know that Christ is the son of God or to know his name works wonders doesn't assure you life in him until you believe in his name which is the faith you have in him. The scripture made us to understand that by the mention of his name all things in heaven and the Earth will bow; when some call the name of Jesus Christ in troubles; they call him in fear. Such is not expected from a Child of God who believes in his name. When we have life in the name of Christ we can call upon him with boldness without trembling in the presence of any evil around us.
Remember the seven sons of sceva who went about looking for one who is possessed by a demon thinking that when they call on the name of Jesus Christ the demon will leave but were disgraced by the demon; because they had not life in Christ. They know well the power in his name but they don’t believe in him.

Conclusion:
We should know that there are differences between: believing in Jesus Name and Knowing what Jesus Name can do; we are to build our faith to believing in the efficacy of his name (1John 3:23a)

The Mystery of Christ

Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:Colossians 1:26

In genesis God made Adam know everything about him even the nature and splendor of the Universe. There was no mystery hidden from him until he fell; he were as if he never knew anything about God. He became alienated to God; someone created in the image of God whom God showed all things and even things to come. Adam lost this relationship; everything he knew then now became a mystery to Him. This hidden mystery was generational from ages to ages Colossians 1:26. Since God couldn’t condone this relationship broken and the hidden mystery, he made Christ the way through which we can understand him. Christ Jesus is our portal to fellowship and access God directly. All we need to know about God that seems mysterious to unbelievers and atheists is now made known to us His children and saints in Christ Jesus.
The scripture made us to understand that in the knowledge of the mystery of Christ we have access to wisdom and knowledge about everything we need to know Colossians 2:3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. It is glaring to us from the Scripture that we read now that in the mystery of Christ is hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge. When believers have wisdom to everything, nothing will seem mysterious to them anymore. So therefore believers should be deepened in understanding Christ every time in order to acquire wisdom and knowledge to everything pertaining to them.

Conclusion:
We have understood that all wisdom and knowledge is hidden in the mystery of Christ; we should therefore seek more understanding of Christ by studying the word consistently (John 1:1)

The true Vine

Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. John 15:2

Every branches of a Vine is dependent on their Vine for survival, growth , to flourish and to bear fruits. Christ has demonstrated himself to be a Vine and his people the branches. He referred to God as a gardener that often check on the Vine if there be any branch that has fallen off from the Vine or that doesn’t bear fruits or  that is weakly attached to the stem of the Vine (John 15:1) “ I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.; the Scripture has made us to understand that every branch that bears no fruit God takes away.
Every believer are to be rooted in the love of Christ Jesus that is the only way they can be fruitful in him. There are more than to be called a Christian, we shouldn’t just be a receiver of the word only but we should be a doer; thereby the ones that are yet to receive him will see these attributes of Christ in us and then they would be convinced that we are a follower of Him. We should know that a branch of a Vine that receives all nutrients from the Vine and doesn’t bear any fruits is not different from  Christians that receive the word of God daily without giving any results expected from them; the scripture has described them not useful and that they would be uprooted from the Vine.

Conclusion:
To bear fruits, we need the Vine which is Christ Jesus. We can’t do without him just as a branch can’t grow and bear fruits without its Vine.

Worry not

And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. Luke 12:22

Christ has warned us about worrying of what will be of us tomorrow due to our present circumstances. When we are disturbed by our present challenges; we give room for the Devil to commandeer our joy that God has prepared for us. The scripture has described people of much worries as of little faith. We should not forget the promise God made for His people in (Psalms 34:10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.we have been assured that when we seek the Lord for help he will provide for us abundantly. But many have  forgotten this promise complaining without praying or asking for blessings; who  then strive for worldly counsel and ambitions.
It is not the joy of the Lord that his people should lack, but to have  abundant blessings. When we are amidst a time of lack we should call up unto him for provisions; as he has clarified this in (Luke 12:24)Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?

Conclusion:
It is against the covenant of God that any believer should lack; if you are amidst Lack of money, food, peace, good health etc. you should know it is transient; call on God for Devine help He will answer you.

Keep pressing on

For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Philippians 1:23

There are times you find yourself  in troubles that shook your faith in Christ. It would be as if God has forsaken you; you would be mocked by unbelievers and some will talk you to be foolish. Christ has made us to understand that we will experience tribulations and trial times but at the end we will overcome (John 16:33). These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
In Philippians 1:23 we see that Paul experienced tough tribulations that he had thought of either pressing on with Christ or to give up; but he considered giving up as nothing profitable to him for the end is destruction, he considered staying in Christ as an option with an eternal reward not just a reward. As Christians we should emulate this character of holding on to Christ Jesus no matter the tribulations challenging us. It is inevitable that we would be tempted to depart; but remember to depart has nothing to offer us but an eternal regret. we should remember the promise Christ made in  John 16:33 let this be in our minds always. I pray in the name of Jesus we would overcome  every  challenges facing us and be a conqueror at the End.

Conclusion
Believers should keep pressing on even when the desire to give up comes; we should always remember Christ  promise in  John 16:33

The new covenant

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: Hebrews 8:10

G
od  considered the first covenant obsolete not able to save man once and for all. The covenant was often done by a high priest who also pleads for his own sins and for the people’s sake. The first covenant which uses the blood of calves and goats was considered obsolete and not pure. Was anything wrong with the first covenant? yes there were so many things wrong with the first covenant; the scripture made us to understand that the first covenant was not capable of clearing our conscience of past sins we might have committed making us feel guilty even after offering sacrifices Hebrews 9:9 “ Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;” and also the the old covenant set a boundary with us and God not making us come boldly to fellowship with him. But the good news is this Christ has been made a mediator of the new covenant with us which make us come boldly to the throne of grace without the shed of any animal blood but by  his blood. And one of the promises God made with us is that his laws would be in our hearts making Christ the mediator of this new covenant.

Conclusion:
It is important for all believers to value the new covenant because it has broken the barriers between man and God; and more importantly it has implanted Gods laws in our minds.

The Human Spirit

The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly. Proverbs 20:27

Humans are made of 3 entities which are the body, soul and Spirit. One of these entities which is the soul comprises our emotions, feelings, characters and habits. These factors influence the body when the needs come. The human Spirit acts as a mediator and controls the actions of the body and soul if allowed to; the human spirit can’t  control these actions if we  didn’t allow it to hence the Spirit is dependent.
The Scripture has described the human spirit as a light that the lord use to search our inner most mind. God uses it often to guide the conscience of Man whenever he is about to take some decisions. You may have been surprised how Joseph knew what Potiphar’s wife wanted to lure him to was a sin to God; those days the law has not been given; Moses was not born then. But he knew adultery was wicked in the sights of God since his conscience was bearing witness to God. Romans 2:15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;

Conclusion:
The human spirit is a light that God use to search our inner most mind; we should be conscious of our decisions and be attentive to the Holy Spirit whenever he is guiding us.

The word is indispensable

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my pathPsalms 119:105

We are in some journeys  in life that is needed of us to seek for a proper guide and not to take decision of ours of where to go and where not to; the scripture has reveal the indispensability of the word of God in our directions in life. We can’t  go far in life if the word of God doesn't dwell richly in our minds. Knowing  the word of God is akin to us understanding his thoughts towards us. The word of God is Christ Jesus which is the mind of God.
There are times we find ourselves in darkness and dilemma; it is required of us to use the word as light to darkness around us; just as King David described the word of God as light to darkness and direction to our paths psalms 119:105. When troubles come the word of God should be the first thing to seek out for.

Conclusion
We can’t do without the word of God if we are in need of directions in life; therefore it is required of us to build ourselves richly in his word.

Destiny

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations”Jeremiah1:5

E
veryone on Earth has a destiny yet to be fulfilled while some have started fulfilling theirs. The scripture has made us to understand that God has predestined us for assignments and purposes before we were born. A believer is meant to know His/Her purpose here on Earth to be able to know the direction He/She is heading to; that is the reason why we have to build our intimate relationship with God stronger for him to reveal our purpose here on earth. Apart from the kingdom purpose to winning of souls to the kingdom of God which should be the most important aspect of our lives, It is important we know what God sent us to solve here on earth. So many have lived their lives thinking life is just to be born and to die; but I tell you this there are more to that. A believer has to make impact here on earth and shine as light to challenges facing Men.

Conclusion

Every believer is to discover His/Her purpose which is very important for a child of God in need of direction. Anyone without purpose discovery is not different from a living dead.

Do you have a vision?

And the LORD answered me, and said, Writethe vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.  Habakkuk 2:2
So many people have, one time in their lives had answers by inspirations, dreams and by deep thought to so many problems; but failed by their negligence to writing down their ideas. Sometimes when an ideas comes to our mind; we shouldn’t think it is a coincidence we should rather write it down and work on it, because the Lord inspire us by ideas, visions to solve so many challenges. This is Year 2020 it is high time you set goals for yourself, by writing your goals and ideas in a book, have a plan that by this time I should have achieve this and that. It is not surprising how great Men have attained high peak in life, they had ideas and have set goals for themselves to pursue and accomplish their dreams.
Another category is those that have written their ideas and have set goals for themselves but refused to work on them because of procrastinations, carried away by the things around them and some low self-esteem. If you had great dreams and you are relaxed thinking your dreams would come through you are not different from someone in fantasy.
It is required of anyone with big ideas to start working on them for it to be fulfilled by dedication and commitment. The world doesn’t care about your ideas but by your result which is light to problems yet solved.

Conclusion
Every believer is to dream big and set goals for them self so as to be great. Having big ideas with no work is a fantasy that can never come into reality.

The Children of God.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:John 1:12

W
e have been entitled to be called and recognized as children of God if we could believe that Christ is the way. Jesus has broken the partition that was set between Man and God, since the very first day Man fell. The fall made Man to loose that right of him to be a Son to God. The good news for us is we are redeemed and now children to our Heavenly Father; having the right to come boldly to the throne of grace to fellowship with him just as a Son have a discussion with his earthly father. A Christian should have full confidence in his name because He/She can do greater things if He/She believes him. The scripture has referred to this entitlement as a great love that we cannot  compare to anything. 1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.”

Conclusion
We should know we privileged to to do things Christ did on earth even greater things since we have been adopted as children to God and we should know we have access to everything our Heavenly Father owns here on earth and in heaven.

God’s training

‘’ If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? ’’Hebrews 12:7

How can we say we are loved by God if he cannot correct us when we err; the scripture has considered those that God doesn't chastise as bastards. (Hebrews 12:8) ‘’But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons’’
Just as a father corrects His/Her child for being wrong so as our Heavenly Father corrects us; this training is done for us to be above sins we have been struggling to let go of. More importantly God chastise us to build His fear in our hearts; which caution us from sinning against him and not to be chastised by him in his wrath. When chastised we shouldn't charge God  to be wicked and merciless instead we should embrace this training and be careful of such sin being repeated; when we are chastised we should try as much as possible to take heed to corrections so as not to be victims of a reprobate mind (Romans 1:28) ‘’And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;’’

Conclusion
You are chastised because you are loved by God; the best you can do is to take heed to corrections so as not be a victim of a reprobate mind.

Do not be deceived (II)

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 1 Timothy 4:1

The scripture has brought to our understandings that in the end times so many would compromise their faith; believing what suits them not being subjected under any chastisement2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;” they will entice Christians in a way that believers  who fell would be in awe and marvel at their crafty  doctrine.Their teachings wouldn’t be on salvation but to meet the needs of their curiosity concerning materialistic things, vain ambitions, miracles and wealth; not mindful of things pertaining to the kingdom sake. The scripture has described those who give this teachings as followers of a demonic doctrine. Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; (1 Timothy 4:1)
The scripture has assured us of having a strong foundation which would not be shook by devilish doctrine; if we build our mind with the word of God thereby we  are made stronger by his grace. (Hebrews 13:9) Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

Conclusion
We are told that in the last days many will compromise their faith; as believers we are to be steadfast in faith and the word of God not to be entice by doctrines that do not comply with the kingdom sake.

Don’t be deceived

Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things comets the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience” Ephesians 5:6

We have been warned

It is essential we know the word of God and his promises written in his word concerning us; by so doing we wouldn't be easily ensnared by deceptive and enticing words, false prophecies and sorceries. Some people have lived their fate by lies  told to them not minding to know the will of the Lord concerning them. Believers are not to be carried away by any prophesy foretold of them; instead they should discern if such prophesy is from the Lord (1 John4:1) “BELOVED, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” If a prophecy were foretold by an esteemed Man of God, it is required of us to test the spirit, check the prophecy  were conformed to the word of God.

Wrath of God upon the children of disobedience

The scripture has made it known that there’re consequences if we fell into the deception of the devil (Ephesians 5:6) “ Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things comets the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience”. A perfect example  was the prophet in (1kings 13:1-24) who fell in deception of the old prophet. It is necessary we read the chapter for better understanding. He was warned by God to abstain from food; from the Scripture  we read the old prophet disguised himself a real prophet who heard from God; though he was called a prophet but he gave a deceptive prophecy (1Kings 13:18) “He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him.”

Conclusion
We have been warned (Ephesians 5:6); therefore it is necessary we test every words spoken to us if they were conformed to the spirit of God,  so as not to be preys to the deception of the Devil.

Heavenly Wisdom

‘’But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be treated, full of mercy  and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.’' James 3:17

The scripture has confirmed the wisdom of God being pure and peaceable; but the problem of so many due to their impatience  and lack of the will of God considered themselves wise; they aspire to acquire material things against the will of God. The scripture has made us to understand that there are three kinds of wisdom; which are the heavenly wisdom, the earthly wisdom and the satanic wisdom. As children of the Most High we are not to covet the earthly wisdom because it is perishable and it is against Gods will. The scripture has described those who covet such wisdom (earthly wisdom) as those of selfish and evil ambitions (James3:16) ‘’ for where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.’’
The heavenly wisdom is of the will of God; those that aren’t led by His will are considered unwise (Ephesians 5:17) ‘’wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the lord is.’’  To experience the heavenly wisdom we must endeavor to be led by His will; not by our selfish ambitions.

Conclusion
Every believer must be submissive to be led by the will of God if they thirst for the wisdom from above.

The Ministering Spirits

’Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?’ (Hebrews 1:14)

We are in a generation that has neglected the purpose and ministration of the angels; if asked of some believers if they invited their angels in their prayers, you might find just few that had engaged their angels. The ministration of the angels is not often discussed in most of the churches; while some people have considered the ministrations of the angels as biblical Fairy tales.  It is very important that we know that the ministration of the angels is still present in our time if we make use of them.

To serve those who will inherit salvation
We should not be confused with the works of the Holy Spirit and that of the angels; the scripture has made it clear that the angels (ministering spirits) are sent to minister and serve those who will be heirs of salvation (Hebrews 1:14) ‘’ Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?’’.  As we receive the message of salvation spoken by the angels (ministering spirits); God bears us witness with signs and wonders by the gift of the Holy Spirit working in us (Hebrews 2:4) ‘’ God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his will?’’
Conclusion
We all have angels; it is about time we engaged our angels into action and prayers where necessary; there are many of them idle because of our ignorance.

ENTER INTO HIS REST

“there remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God” Hebrews 4:9

Christ has promised His people rest if they believe He is able to take  away their burden (Matthew 11:28) “come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Just as God did rest the seventh day, His will for His people is to enter into His rest.
We remain in our struggles because of our hardened heart to believe that God is able to save us from our problems; We are faced by challenges that make us wonder if God is still with us; then We ask ourselves this question; can God ever take me out of this problem? This unbelief provoke Gods wrath to break His promise with His people of entering into His rest (Hebrew 4:1). “ let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into rest, any of you should seem to come short of it”. The Israelites were short of the promise of entering into His rest as a result of Their unbelief and hardened heart. A believer should believe that God is able to give Him/Her rest if He/She believe in Him.

Conclusion
It is not the purpose of God for His people to be short of His promise of rest; the scripture has made it clear that a child of God has to labour to enter into His rest by believing in Him.

REDEMPTION BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS

“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.” Ephesian 1:7

you have no past
Believers should know their right by opposing the devil whenever he brings to remembrance of their past deeds. The scripture has assured believers that they have no past (2Cor5:17) because they are born a new. More importantly we have been redeemed from the penalties of our sins by the sacrifice of the blood of Jesus (Ephesians 1:7).

brought nearer by the blood
There are times the devil makes past memories of things we have done in the past to resurface to our mind and sometimes when we come to the present of God to fellowship with him, the devil charges us to condemnation for our sins, then we feel guilty having no courage to fellowship with God. But here is the good news, Christ has brought us nearer to God through his blood but now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.” (Ephesians 2:13).

Conclusion
It is very important for a believer  to know that he/she has been redeemed by the blood of Jesus from all sins and the devil has no right to condemn him/her by past sins.

THE INCORRUPTIBLE SEED

‘’ Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.’’ 1Peter 1:23

Consistency and dedication to studying the word of God is very essential to the growth and survival of a believer in the Christian Race. The Scripture has made us to understand that believers who are reluctant to studying the word will be vulnerable to committing sins and falling into temptations, making them corruptible seeds. Jesus gave a proper illustration using the Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13:5) ‘’ some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly because the soil was shallow.’’ This verse describes them as corruptible seeds who received the word but create no time to study the word and believers who seldom study the word and were easily tossed away by tribulations of Life.
Believers are not to relax hoping that they have attained the maximum extent of understanding the word, rather it is required of them to study the word thoroughly. There is no end to the word of God, therefore believers must crave for more understanding of the word (1Peter2:2) ‘’as new born babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:’’
Being incorruptible is one of the characteristics of God, the scripture clarifies this in (1john3:9) ‘’whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.’’  The only way we can be made incorruptible (imperishable) is to be deep rooted in the word of God.

Conclusion
The Scripture has made it known to us that we are born again of Incorruptible seed by the word of God; the word of God is needed for any one born again to grow spiritually and not to perish.

RIVERS OF LIVING WATER

‘’ He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.’’    John 7:38

There are more expected of a born again Christian after believing in Christ. There is an assurance of eternal life for anyone that believes in him John 5:24, john 3:16. But what do we expect from a Christian that just gave his/her life to Christ and what are the signs that those that are yet to receive him will see in a Christian for them to be convinced that Jesus is the way?  There comes the answer in (John 7:38) ‘’ he that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.’’ It was confirmed in (Mark16:17) ‘’and these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Jesus referred the Living water here as the Holy Spirit [John 7:39] ‘but this spake he of the spirit which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified’’. Though Baptism and manifestation of the Holy Spirit was yet to come then, the baptism done then by John the Baptist was for repentance alone, such baptism couldn’t save anyone but was a call to repentance. The bible has made us to understand that there are differences between repentance and to be saved, when one repents from a particular sin, there are possibilities that one could commit such sin if one is not saved. Being saved is to be totally free from sin. Jesus has assured anyone who receives, believes in him and is baptized of the Holy Spirit would be saved (Mark16:16) ‘’ He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.’’
Jesus has promised believers flow of living waters coming forth from within them. he is assuring believers of rivers of living water, you might be surprised why not  living water since Christ had referred to the Holy Spirit as the living water, Because the purpose of God for anyone that believes in Christ Jesus is to do great and exploit than  Christ did while on earth  (John 14:12)  ’ Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.’

Conclusion
As a believer you are not limited to believing in Christ alone, but there are greater works expected of you to do. Jesus has promised anyone that believes in him this exploit work through the power of the Holy Ghost.
