And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just. Luke 14:14
There are two sources of rewards which are; rewards from Heaven and rewards from this world, Earth. You might have received so many earthly rewards, and the earthly reward can either be temporarily good or evil whereas Heavenly reward is everlasting good and no evil is found in it. In Luke 14:12-14, Jesus gave two illustrations of this rewards, the first one was the rewards you get from helping people that can help you back in returns because they are not less privileged, He alluded this to an earthly reward because it is temporal. But when you help the less privileged; the sick, lame, poor, blind, dumb etc. you will not get rewards from them because they cannot help you in return but your reward will come from above, Heaven here to you in earth and even when you get to Heaven there will be a great reward for you. Luke 14:12-14 ‘Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee. But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.’
Dear reader, I know you are blessed this morning. The rewards you get from helping the less privileged is Divine and can not be compared to the temporal rewards in this world.
Conclusion:
There is a Big reward from Heaven if You help the less privileged, our Lord wants you and I to focus on this so that You and I can have lot of eternal blessings here on earth and in Heaven.
