Honor the pastors in your church

 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian. Luke 4:27

It is customary for many Christians to be so much familiar with their pastors. Many had taken this familiarity to the wrong of which made them to doubt their pastors anointing;  they may think that what is so new that could be received from them having stayed and being trained from them. Nevertheless it is required of them to keep honoring the grace of God in the lives of their pastors. Though Christ said in Luke 4:24 ’And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country.’ still you shouldn’t let this saying influence you to think God can not use your pastor for you. Christ said that because Israel never believed in him, they were so much familiar about His up bringing and family of which made them to think nothing new could come from Him.

Christ gave two illustrations of How Israel missed miracles from two great prophets in Israel. Luke 4:25-27 ’But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land; But unto none of them was Elijah sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow. And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.’ 

From these verses, It was noticed that widows from Israel never honored two great prophet in their country,  only widows from other countries received miracles from Elijah and Elisha.

Conclusion:

Honor the grace of God in your pastor, never be familiar with them thinking if something new could come from them. Take them as vessels of God.
