Wisdom, knowledge and understanding; all are birthed from God’s Spirit.

And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship. Exodus 31:3

 

There are so many kinds of wisdom, but there is one wisdom that is superior to all other wisdom and that wisdom is only given through God’s spirit. In 1Corinthians 2:10, Paul dug deeper into the mystery of God’s wisdom. He said that no one can harness the mystery of God’s given wisdom except such a one is freely given by the spirit of God. He made an illustration that since our human spirit can search the deeper things of our mind that same as the spirit of God can search the deeper things in God’s mind. Therefore we can have access through the wisdom of God if we have the spirit of God in us.

Our case study for today’s devotional is Bezaleel in the Bible whom God bestowed wisdom, knowledge, and understanding through His Spirit. Exodus 31:2-4 ”See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass.” 

In those days, when the Israelites wandered through the wilderness, none of them knew craftsmanship in silver, gold, and some other precious stones. God needed to fill someone with His Spirit so He may have the inspiration from God to harness God’s wisdom.

No wisdom comes from above expect if God had bestowed it through His spirit. All divine inspirations comes through the spirit of God.
