What should your desire be?

 

One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. Psalms 27:4 

 

Whenever you require anything, your first action is to seek the Lord first. King David knew the benefits of seeking the Lord first; that is making Him his priority. He did have other things He ought to focus on but He believed if He desires to seek the Lord, all His needs will be granted. He said in Psalm 27:4 “ One thing he ever needed was to seek and dwell in the presence of the lord” He never made mention of His actual needs like materialistic things,  wealth, fame, or power. He hopes that if He dwells in God’s presence, everything will be achieved.

 

Your first desire is to seek and dwell in the presence of God, other needs will be met by His grace and presence in your life. 

 

Conclusion:

Your first desire is to seek the Lord and dwell in His presence. Making Him your first-priority just as king David did. It will make you get any other needs you ever needed.
