The New Covenant, the greater glory! 

 

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. 

2 Corinthians 3:18

 

In the time of the Old Testament,  God communicate with Moses to give his commandments in letters in form of inscriptions on a tablet stone. However, the Israelites never put these laws in their hearts. They were not transformed by the law because it was not in their hearts. These give reasons why they couldn’t consistently behold the face of Moses, when Moses saw the glory of God. The glory on Moses face faded, and was not everlastingly bright as the Glory of God.

 All glory to Jesus who brought the new covenant that the commandments of God will be written in anyone’s heart that is in Christ through the handwriting of the Holy Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:3 ‘Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.’

Through Christ the veil that hinders the Israelites to behold the face of Moses is taken away in any one who is born again, and such an one can come boldly to the throne of God and fellowship with Him. 

2 Corinthians 3:14 ‘But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.’

Dear reader, I know you are greatly blessed this morning. The new covenant is the greatest of all covenants. If you’re yet to know Jesus, give Him all you have and you will taken into a new covenant.

 

Conclusion:

The new covenant brings you and I closer to the throne of God to behold His glory with no veil in our faces and to commune with Him.
