“And God bless them, and God said unto them be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it” Gen1:28a
Here on earth
It is necessary for
every believer to be fruitful because it is the first commandment God gave to
man Genesis 1:28a therefore a believer has no choice than to be fruitful by fulfilling
the first commandment. King David also confirmed God’s covenant of fruitfulness
he made with his believers (Psalm113:9) “He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful
mother of children. Praise ye the lord”. From here we can
decipher that it is against Gods plan for a believer to be childless, there are
some situations whereby the doctor told you that you can’t have a child but
that doesn’t change the purpose of God for your life (Lamentation 3:37)
"Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass,
when the lord commandeth it not”. God
has promised his children that none of them will be barren, he has promised
every believer that none would be infertile even miscarriage won’t be their
portion (Exodus 23:26) “No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I
will fulfill the number of your days”. If anyone had told you be it a doctor
or a prophet that you would be fruitless, just know that they are mere men who can’t
change Gods promises for your life.
For the Kingdom sake
The first commandment God gave to man in genesis 1:28 was emphasized for the
kingdom sake in (mark 16:15)
“And he said
unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
The first commandment God gave man is not just for the earthly sake but
for the kingdom sake, a believer can only replenish the earth by preaching Christ
all over the world and winning souls which is akin to one bearing children in
Gods kingdom, such believer is fertile and the souls won are said to be born again (John 3:3) “Jesus answered and said unto him Verily verily, I say
unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God”. just as a child not born is lifeless or never
existed so as the unbeliever who are not born again, it is a commandment we
multiply in the kingdom by passing the life Christ gave to us to our unborn children
(unbelievers) to be born again (john 5:24) “ Verily verily I say unto you, he that heareth my word,
and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come
into codemnation; but is passed from death unto life. Naming ceremony is made on earth for
every child born also heavenly naming ceremony is made for souls that are saved
and their names are written in the book of life and celebration is also made in
heaven (Luke15:7) “I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one
sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need
no repentance”.
Conclusion
God’s plan for every believer is to be fruitful here on earth and in his
kingdom through the winning of souls, so therefore every believer should not be
limited either by being fruitful on earth alone but also for the kingdom sake
which is our mandatory task as a believer.
